Villanova Presidential Scholarship 2023-24: Eligibility criteria, Application & Award

The Villanova Presidential Scholarship program, inspired by St. Augustine, actively recruits, trains, and supports transformational leaders.

Its aim is to follow in the footsteps of St. Augustine and to continue the legacy of the previous Presidential Scholars through their positive contributions.

Villanova presidential scholarship Eligibility Criteria:

  • First-year students entering Villanova University in the fall semester are eligible.
  • Eligible students must have a weighted GPA of 4.0 or higher.
  • Additionally, they must demonstrate exceptional leadership potential and a strong commitment to community service.
  • Nomination by the chief academic officer of their high school, secondary school counselor, or an official school designee is a requirement for eligibility.

Benefits Of Villanova Presidential Scholarship

The Scholarship is a renewable, merit-based award covering full tuition, room, board, general fee, and the cost of textbooks for eight consecutive semesters.

Presidential Scholars also receive the following benefits:

  • Priority registration for classes
  • Access to exclusive events and programming
  • The opportunity to work with a dedicated faculty mentor
  • A stipend for research and travel

How to Apply for the Villanova Presidential Scholarship:

  1. Nomination:
    • Students must first secure a nomination by the chief academic officer of their high school, secondary school counselor, or an official school designee.
    • The nomination deadline is December 1.
  2. Access the Application:
    • Once nominated, students will receive an email containing a link to access the Presidential Scholarship application.
  3. Application Components:
    • The application comprises the following elements:
      • A personal statement
      • Letters of recommendation
      • A resume
      • A transcript
      • A list of extracurricular activities and honors
