Telangana Overseas Scholarship

The Telangana Overseas Scholarship, offering either INR 20 lakh or covering the tuition fees as stated in the admission letter, furnishes students with the opportunity.

The primary aim of this scholarship scheme is to alleviate the financial disparities hindering students’ pursuit of education.

Once students secure PhD admissions in foreign countries, they can promptly apply for the scholarship.

Consequently, they can seamlessly pursue their education and foster their careers through this scholarship’s support.

Telangana Overseas Scholarship Eligibility 2023:

• Belong to a minority community and be a native of Telangana state.
• Maximum age of the applicant should not exceed 35 years as of 26th October 2023.
• Parental income should not exceed INR 5 lakhs per annum.
• Only one student per family is eligible for this scholarship.
• Possess a valid passport.
• Attain a minimum of 60% marks in the previous course (degree in Engineering) and post-graduation.
• Provide documents including Aadhaar card, passport copy, proof of enrollment in foreign universities, and bank passbook copy.
• Not permitted to change courses after applying for the scholarship.
• Beneficiaries must secure admission to selected foreign universities between January and December 2020.
• 33% of the scholarship quota reserved for female students.
• Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Jain, and Parsi students eligible for scholarships in the US, Canada, UK, Australia, France, Germany, Japan, Singapore, New Zealand, and South Korea.

Qualification Criteria for the Scholarship:

For PhD courses:

• Attain 60% marks or equivalent grade in P.G. course in Engineering/Management/Pure Sciences/Agriculture Sciences/Medicine/Social Sciences/Humanities.

For Post Graduate courses:

• Achieve 60% marks or equivalent grade in foundation degree in Engineering/Management/Pure Sciences/Agriculture Sciences/Medicine and Nursing/Social Sciences/Humanities.

To successfully complete the scholarship application form, the following documents must be provided:

• Passport-size photograph of the student
• GRE/GMAT or equivalent qualifying exam/test scorecard
• TOEFL/IELTS scorecard
• Date of Birth Certificate
• Caste Certificate from Mee Seva
• Aadhaar Card
• Income Certificate from Mee Seva
• Residential Certificate
• Passport copy
• Mark sheet from SSC/Inter/Graduate/PG Level
• Bonafide Certificate from the last attended institute
• Ration card
• E-pass ID Number
• SSC Certificate, if applicable
• Admission offer letter from a Foreign University (I-20, letter of Admission or equivalent)
• Transfer Certificate

How to Check Application Status:

1. Visit the official website of Telangana epass by clicking the provided link.
2. The homepage will appear.
3. Scroll down to find the “Overseas Scholarship Services” option at the bottom of the page.
4. Click on “Overseas Scholarship Services” to open a new page.
5. On the new page, a list of various government Overseas scholarships will be displayed.
6. Click on the “Status/Upload” option next to the scholarship you applied for.
7. You will be redirected to a new page.
8. Provide your details and click on “Get Details.”
9. Your application status will be shown on the screen.

1. Click on the provided link to access the official Telangana epass website.
2. The organization’s homepage will be displayed.
3. Click on the “Dashboard Login” option located on the homepage.
4. A new page will appear.
5. Input your login details, including user ID and password.
6. Click the login button to proceed.
