Rover Scholarship

The Rover Scholarship assists in paying for a student’s education at an eligible college or university.

Eligible students can renew the scholarship for up to four years of undergraduate study and utilize it for expenses such as tuition, fees, books, and on-campus housing.

Rover Scholarship Overview:

• Offered by Rover, a dog walking and pet sitting company.
• Aimed at students passionate about pets.
• Available to any student enrolled in an accredited university or college in the United States.
• Need-based scholarship assisting with the cost of education.
• Named after the late Dr. James E. Rover, a professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
• Open to students enrolled in accredited colleges or universities in the United States.

 Scholarship Eligibility:

• Be currently enrolled as a college student in the United States or Canada.
• Maintain a GPA of at least 3.0.
• Plan to enroll in or already be enrolled in an animal science, veterinary medicine, or related degree program.
• Be a citizen or legal resident of the United States or Canada.

• The Rover Scholarship is open to high school seniors and college students with a passion for animal welfare.
• To apply, fill out the online application form and submit a short essay explaining your motivation for pursuing a career in animal welfare.
• The scholarship committee will review applications and select the recipient based on their commitment to animal welfare.
• Include the following in your Rover Scholarship application:
  1. Personal Information: Name, contact information, and date of birth.
  2. Academic Information: GPA, SAT/ACT scores, and class rank (if available).
  3. Financial Information: Family’s income and assets.
  4. Essay: Discuss why you deserve the scholarship and how it will help you achieve your educational goals.
  5. Letters of Recommendation: Possibly include letters from teachers, counselors, or other adults who can vouch for your character and abilities.
  6. Transcripts: Official high school transcripts and college transcripts (if applicable).
• You will be notified of the scholarship decision via email within two weeks of the application deadline. Check your spam folder as well.
• If selected, congratulations! You will be one step closer to realizing your dreams.
