Edison Scholarship 2023-24

The Edison Scholarship Program celebrates students who aspire to shape tomorrow – the visionaries, innovators, protectors, and trailblazers; those who courageously pursue greatness.

Annually, Edison International grants $40,000 college scholarships to 30 high school seniors, enabling them to pursue their ambitions in STEM and equipping them to transform the world.

This opportunity provides ambitious students with substantial dreams the means to further their education while actively contributing to the creation of a more promising future

Edison Scholarship Eligibility

  1. Must be a high school senior.
  2. Maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.
  3. Plan to pursue STEM studies at a four-year accredited college or university.
  4. Demonstrate financial need.
  5. Eligible STEM majors include computer and information systems, engineering, engineering technology, management information systems, mathematics, natural resources and conservation, and physical sciences.
  6. Applicants must reside within Southern California Edison’s service territory.
  7. Top 50 finalists will need to submit a brief video (no need to stress; it’s straightforward).
  8. Dependents of Edison International and SCE employees and retirees are ineligible.
  9. Enroll in a four-year college.
  10. Be a U.S. citizen.

Edison Scholarship Application Requirements:

  1. You must complete an application form.
  2. Submit an official transcript.
  3. Undergo a financial need analysis.
  4. Write an essay.
  5. Additionally, you may need to provide a video.

Financial Aid for the Edison Scholarship:

Edison International will grant up to thirty (30) awards of $10,000 per year, totaling $40,000 over four years.

Recipients can renew these awards for up to three additional years or until they earn a bachelor’s degree, whichever occurs first.

Renewal depends on maintaining satisfactory academic performance.

Continuous full-time enrollment in one of the designated fields of study at a four-year college, subject to the continuation of the program by Edison International.

These awards specifically support undergraduate studies.
