Recognizing that investing in students also benefits the community, the Denver Scholarship Foundation actively contributes to the development of individuals who are self-sufficient and contribute to a healthier society.
At the heart of the organization’s acclaimed program are three core components:

- Scholarships that steer students towards lifelong achievement
- Practical tools to empower their journey.
Program Eligibility:
- Graduating seniors from public high schools, college preparatory schools, charter, private, or religious-affiliated schools located in the City and County of Denver.
- Applicants should demonstrate good character, strong work habits, and potential for success at the college, university, or technical school level.
- Pursuit of an undergraduate degree or certification and a career path that contributes to the diverse and dynamic field of agriculture, encompassing local to global perspectives.
- Proof of acceptance into a two or four-year public or private college, university, community college, or technical school.
- Minimum GPA requirement of 2.0 for the semester and 3.0 cumulative GPA during the award period.
- Scholarships available for students attending any two or four-year public or private college, university, community college, or technical school in Colorado, Wyoming, Kansas, or Nebraska.
- The scholarship funds can be utilized for tuition, fees, books and supplies, room and board, or any other necessary expenses to support the student’s educational goals.
Denver Scholarship Foundation Application Guide:
i. Apply for undergraduate admission to one of the DSF partner colleges and ensure you meet the college’s requirements for Colorado residency.
ii. Fill out the online scholarship application form.
iii. If you haven’t done so already, submit your 2023-24 FAFSA, CASFA, or any other financial aid application(s) promptly.
iv. Complete the financial aid requirements specific to your college by July 15.
v. By July 15, update your college choice in the DSF portal after submitting your DSF application.
vi. Keep an eye out for important emails from DSF regarding your application status, typically sent in May and July. Make sure to read them to stay informed and on track.
DSF Application Renewal requirements:
- Complete a short renewal application, taking no more than 10 minutes, for each school year you wish to receive the DSF Scholarship.
- The renewal application for the upcoming school year will be available in your DSF Student Portal account starting in February, and the deadline for submission is May 1.
- Fulfill the following deadlines and requirements to maintain your DSF eligibility for the next school year:
- Complete the Student Success Requirements each term.
- Meet your college’s Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) requirements by successfully completing your courses and maintaining satisfactory grades.
- Confirm your college choice in the DSF Student Portal by July 15.
- Complete your financial aid requirements, including the submission of your financial aid application(s) and any verification documents requested by your college, by July 15.
- Enroll as a full-time student each term, unless you have obtained advance approval from DSF for part-time enrollment.
Denver Scholarship Foundation Value:
The DSF Scholarship 2023-24 Annual Awards have the following values:
i. 4-year College/University – $3,600 (Required HS GPA: 2.75) ii. Community College – $1,700 (Required HS GPA: 2.5) iii. Technical College – $1,700 (Required HS GPA: 2.0)
Note:
- The award amounts mentioned are based on full-time enrollment, which typically constitutes 12 or more credits per term, or the equivalent.
- The scholarship amount is divided equally between semesters/quarters.
