Carson Scholarship

 The Carson Scholarship recognize students in grades 4-11 who demonstrate outstanding academic achievements and display humanitarian qualities.

Recipients of this prestigious award are bestowed with a $1,000 college scholarship and the esteemed distinction of being named a Carson Scholar.

Organization & Carson Scholarship Overview:

  • The Carson Scholars Fund aims to name a Carson Scholar in every school.
  • Schools requesting an application will be added to the mailing list for the next scholarship season.
  • Requests for applications must be made by educators or school administrators.
  • Individual student requests or sending applications directly to students’ homes are not permitted.
  • This policy ensures a fair and impartial nomination process conducted by educators to select the most deserving student for a Carson Scholarship.
  • Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.75 and actively participate in community service activities.
  • The scholarship award amount is $1,000.
  • The scholarship money accrues interest until students graduate from high school, resulting in slightly more than $1,000 when they begin college.

– Ensure all students are nominated before winter break

Carson Scholarship Application & Award


  • Essay: Students are required to provide a description of their community service activities.
  • Submission of report card: Students must submit their current report card.
  • Teacher recommendation: A recommendation from a teacher is required.
  • Biographical information: Students need to provide personal information as part of the application.

The student’s school receives a trophy, and Carson Scholars can apply for Scholar Recognition in subsequent years.
