Eligibility Requirements:

  1. Residency and Citizenship:
    • Be a resident of Missouri.
    • Be a United States citizen or permanent resident.
  2. Test Scores:
    • Attain a composite score on the ACT or SAT in one of the following categories:
      • The top 3 percent of all Missouri students taking these tests, or
      • The top 4th or 5th percentiles of all Missouri students taking these tests.
    • Achieve this qualifying score by the June test immediately following high school graduation.
    • Note: Scores achieved on the July test following high school graduation do not qualify. Only national test dates or approved special test dates are accepted. Residual test scores are not valid.
  3. Enrollment:
    • Enroll as a first-time student in the academic year immediately after high school graduation, receiving your General Education Development certificate, or completing secondary coursework if home-schooled.
    • Enroll full-time at a participating Missouri school:
      • Full-time enrollment is defined as a minimum of 12 semester hours.
      • Students with disabilities defined by Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act can enroll in a minimum of 6 semester hours.
  4. Supplemental Eligibility Information:
    • Submit additional eligibility information if requested, by the MDHEWD-established deadline.
  5. Exclusions:
    • Not pursue a degree or certificate in theology or divinity.
